Same place. Spot the difference?
Pretty big contrast in less than a week, don't you find? I do.
On another note (but on the same cycling route to work), here's some light-shadow contrasts. Cyclist ninja on a useless (if rather fun) Peter Pan-like chase.
Chasing the shadow onto the green, green grass.
Near yellow and red leaves carrying a giant lance (ninja knight on her two-wheeled horse).
Stretching past the cycle path and onto the kerb...
Finally la ninja managed to catch that sneaky shadow.
Ha! Finally trapped behind bars.
Or so she thought.
There it was that very same night again, this time below the street lights. "You bloody ninja shadow, you. Stop taunting me behind those dancing lights."
Peter Pan meets Don Quixote... big time ;P
amazing!
ReplyDeleteI agree about contrast and a half :+)!
well what a difference a week makes.
ReplyDeletelove the shadows in your pictures!
I like your peter pan meets don quixote chase! One question: have those two bikes been left abandoned there for one week?!
ReplyDelete... may be the wind went here ?!! Be careful on your bike, please... !!!! Bon mercredi ; )
ReplyDeleteYou are an artist on a bike. Taking photos while riding! Malabarista de la cámara!
ReplyDeleteI like your interpretation of contrast. Thanks for the corner view!
ReplyDeleteHaha, Love It!
ReplyDeleteglad you didn't crash into peter pan :)
ReplyDeletehaha! you always make me laugh. p.s. did you know that dutch bikes are going for 1,000 dollars in the states...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the laugh! :) Did you really take pictures while biking?
ReplyDeleteLove the shadows....and glad to see there are other people who collect such photos :-) Plus, the contrast in a week is amazing....and I've been amazed that last week, I couldn't see across the length of the forest around me and this week, I can see for miles....with all the leaves blanketing the ground! Amazing
ReplyDeleteVery nice chase! I especially love your photo with the "shadow stripes"!
ReplyDeleteI love how all the leaves are gone but the bikes are still lying higgelty piggelty all over the place....
ReplyDeleteOh and I am glad that La Ninja caught the shadow!!
You have a great imagination Miss Ninja! I always look forward to your blog posts and comments...
ReplyDeleteLast time I took a photo of my shadow on a bike I almost ran into a parked car. My husband wasn't too pleased though I told him not to fear. I had la ninja spirit... (see my flickr for proof :)
it's crazy how quickly things can change in just 7 days!!!
ReplyDeletemooooi je pan-fiets-fotoos!
ReplyDeleteI like this Fotos - your shadow in the flor, I like this way
ReplyDeleteHey! My question is where are Pancho sancha and Tinker bell??? And what are they doin'? You play well with bikes, ligths ans shadows!
ReplyDeleteHA! Now I know why you were "yay-ing" my shadow pic. These are great. Did you bring your sewing kit to sew the shadow back on when you caught it?
ReplyDeletebiking and cycling? you ARE a ninja. shadow pictures are awesome! happy chasing....
ReplyDeleteYou uphold the name of ninja in every post.
ReplyDeleteThey get more and more adventurous and keep me on the edge of me seat:)
I like how you put the element of time into your contrasts. So ninja!!!
You made me laugh on your comment too.
The baguettes in Japan by the way are very...
French. There is a bread shop called Donq and one called Prendre Courage, both my favorites and the few places to find "hard" crusty breads.
I LOVE those shadow photos! :)
ReplyDeleteQue bonitas las fotos con las sombras de las bicis!!!
ReplyDeleteoh dear ninja, i would like to travel with you to neverland. and there we play seek and hide with our shadows and drink tea with tinkerbelle. have a wonderful and sunny weekend*
ReplyDeleteWhat about that bike in the bushes? And what big changes in one small week.
ReplyDeleteChasing your shadow on your bike, camera in hand - true ninja style.
These are so great!! Love the shadow chase! Good luck with that one!
ReplyDeleteTotally dig the 'MODville' idea!
Happy Day, Ninja gal!
i nearly fell over myself laughing when i read dorit's comment, because i didn't make the connection until then that you were were photo-ing and biking at the same time! you are such a multi-tasking ninja...
ReplyDeleteseriously, you lot... of course I can cycle and take pics at the same time. I AM LA NINJA. I could actually fly in the air doing summersaults and take pics at the same time but that would attract too much attention and blow da ninja cover ;)
ReplyDeletebikes abandoned for a week. yup. this is amsterdam, the bike-attached-to-rail-ratio is pretty high.
good thinking, will take thread and needle next time and if I see tinker or sancho I'll let you know. off to catch that bloody shadow again.
la ninja! It looks better without the bike litter but I have to say, I wish we rode bikes more around here!
ReplyDeleteThis is the best! I love the before and after photos AND the shadow and story is cool! You are a great storyteller. Have a golden weekend my friend. xo
ReplyDeleteIt looks like winter is right around the corner. Have a happy week!
ReplyDeleteI was just thinking about Peter Pan and his shadow yesterday as I sketched out a new drawing...funny! I think one of autumn's greatest allures is how quickly it passes. I love to watch the daily changes.
ReplyDeletevery nice photos of that mysterious shadow biker:)
ReplyDeleteI really like the first sets of pictures; what a contrast. Winter is getting closer, huh!?
